A Forever Love…

A Forever Love…

“I have known him, and loved him, for the blink of an eye and a thousand years.”

I read this line two nights ago when I couldn’t sleep. It sounded so much like something I might write, or have written, or will write. But it isn’t.

It’s a beautiful closing line from a beautiful blog post that I’ve since bookmarked and tweeted and asked friends to read. It’s about love.

A love that knows, the moment it meets its match, that it is home.

A forever love.

Those opening words were written by Hayley Elkins and reposted on The Good Men Project the other night. I tweeted it and have since seen that tweet duplicated at all hours of the day. Many people want a great love story, even if they aren’t sure how to write one for themselves.

I haven’t written a great love story. Yet.

It isn’t that I believe I haven’t found love, I have. But the timing is never right, the choice is never me, the end result is often the same.

However, instead of writing about that today, I want to only share with you a beautiful story about two people who found love because that really is what makes the world go ‘round.
